How I styled Kylie Jenner for Remix Magazine

Issue 85 Lowres (dragged) 3

I was stoked to style Kylie Jenner for the April 2015 issue of Remix Magazine. The pouty-lipped reality starlet is the latest it girl to spring forth from the Kardashian dynasty. Kylie Jenner is notorious for her edgy, fearless personal style, impeccably penciled pout, and fabulous social calendar.

Veda jacket, Alexander McQueen dress, Elodie K hand bracelet and rings, Cartier bracelets

Remix Magazine and I decided early on that Kylie’s shoot should be fresh, light, and crisp. We settled on a sophisticated pastel palette that embodies Spring 2015’s biggest trends while showcasing Kylie’s natural beauty.

House of CB jacket, Helen Cherry pants, Fendi shoes

Since Remix is New Zealand’s leading fashion magazine, we wanted to mix pieces from up and coming New Zealand designers with historic fashion houses, trendy LA labels, and a few of my favorite lines available at stylehaus.

Kylie’s dewy, natural makeup and full, textured hair subtly complemented the pieces’ pastel tones and clean lines without overpowering.

As always, accessorizing was vital in pulling together each look. I layered delicate silver and diamond jewelry for a glamorous yet sophisticated effect.

Like all photo shoots, the Remix Magazine Kylie Jenner shoot was long, complicated, and fabulous. Collaborating with Remix Magazine’s team of talented creatives was inspiring and incredibly fun. I’m so proud of the resulting pictures and delighted to show Kylie Jenner in a new light.

Here’s to Spring!

Coachella 2015 and Neon Carnival

Thursday, April 16th, 2015

I’m a die-hard Coachella girl, and this year no exception. Unfortunately (or not tbh) I was too busy feeling the music and partying with my favorite people to thoroughly document my festival ensembles.

I’m not mad about it.

Neon Carnival is my new favorite experience. The ultra creative, invite only fair is a part nostalgic childhood throwback, part megaparty, and exactly where I wanted to be.

Coachella and Neon Carnival were a much-needed respite from my daily grind. This week I returned to work refreshed, inspired, and ultra focused on an amazing but still top-secret fashion project that is primed to launch in late Summer 2015.

Stay tuned.

Stylehaüs is making a major move

Wednesday, November 12th, 2014

As many of our clients already know, Stylehaüs has moved from The Grove to a private showroom in West Hollywood. Like all change, this one is bittersweet. When The Caruso Group handpicked Stylehaüs as The Grove’s first styling service, and made our CEO Marina Monroe The Grove’s Creative Director, we were honored beyond words. Now, two amazing years later, Stylehaüs has evolved from fashionable upstart to LA’s premier styling service.

We began with a wild idea: to bridge the gap between retail and styling by giving anyone access to the personal styling experience previously enjoyed only by celebrities. Our crazy idea of a customized shopping experience accompanied by 24/7 fashion concierge support and exclusive access to next Season’s styles succeeded beyond our wildest dreams.

From Melrose to The Grove, Stylehaüs grew into the fashion force you see today. Now, we’re busting up and out with another disruptive venture in the ever-expanding field of fashion technology. Present and future clients will still enjoy our full service styling and shopping services from a fabulous new private showroom in the heart of West Hollywood.

As always, our number #1 priority is styling… Yet the face of fashion is changing, and Stylehaüs is destined to ride the cutting edge. Marina and the stylehaüs team are ecstatic to shift focus to fashion tech and editorial.

From one fabulous venture to the next, here’s to Stylehaus being the next big thing… Yet again.
