London Fashion Week Fall 2013
Milan Fashion Week Fall 2013
New York Fashion Week Fall 2013
As New York, London, and Milan’s fashion shows are over and Paris’ is underway, I have been generating an on-going list of, “It” items from each show that are essential additions to my wardrobe! London Fashion Week, often known for its edgier designs, featured modern and sleek looks much different than NYFW or MFW. The Topshop Unique show was one of my favorites, and I loved the pleather skirts, cropped tops, and jackets in particular. This fiery red skirt would be the perfect pop of color with black boots, tights, and a black top, and this long black and auburn trench is amazing. The Mulberry runway show caught my eye, with what else, but black leather; this cape is the perfect day-to-night accessory, and would be ideal for a day of fall shopping, traveling, or going to dinner.
The stylish city of Milan hosted a beautiful collection of runway shows, where leather continued to be a favorite trend of mine. This red leather Versace jacket is amazing, and I would love to rock it with some black skinny jeans or shorts with tights. This item truly makes a bold and bright statement and I love that Versace is featuring cherry red for fall, sending the message that bold hues aren’t just reserved for spring and summer anymore. My shoe obsession went crazy at the Pucci show, which featured thigh high suede boots in all different styles. These suede and leather knee-high Pucci boots are to die for, and a girl can never have too many of these! I love the intricate detail, and the tassel on the back adds a fun element. For a purse fix, I am obsessed with this fur and leather Marni bag, resembling a backpack, and is both very edgy and chic!
New York Fashion Week was my personal favorite, not only because I was able to attend the shows and feel the energy of the city, but the runways screamed leather, leather, and more leather! As cobalt blue is one of the hottest colors for fall, I fell in love with this cobalt and black leather Calvin Klein cape. Not only does it look amazing styled on Cara Delevigne (does she look bad in anything?) but this is the perfect fall statement accessory and would look chic in any setting. These charcoal buckle Rebecca Taylor boots are incredible, and I love their versatility, as they are great to throw on with a pair of jeans, leather pants, or even shorts. The multiple buckles are playful, edgy, and fashion-forward, and these booties are great for an easy on-the-go outfit. And what would fall fashion be without a little army green? Prabal Gurung’s fall line featured fur, leather harnesses, peplums, and warm fall hues, and this look was one of my favorites from NYFW. This is the ultimate high-fashion look for fall, and was perfection for me.
