Shoesday Tuesday: New Year’s Eve

The shoes make the outfit, which is why I’m starting my New Year’s Eve look from the ground up!

Most of my wardrobe is black (I just bought a cropped black fur coat that I’m actually thinking of wearing), so sparkly shoes are just the thing to take my outfit into festive territory.   These Swarovski crytal-covered sandals from Zara will add just enough bling to my black!  The chunky heel is ideal for New Years Eve, since I’ll likely be dancing all night and I know these will be comfy.  Click here to get your own.

I’m normally not a strappy sandal kinda girl- I prefer boots or booties for everyday.  These Jeffery Campbell cutout booties would be perfect for NYE!  The suede texture glimmers with gold flecks, making them just sparkly enough to pop against an all-black outfit.  Plus, I know I’d wear these babies over and over again.  $135 at Nordstrom!

New Year’s Eve is a great time to step out of your comfort zone and play with glitter or color in ways you wouldn’t in your everyday life.  If I decide to mix things up for the big night, I’ll go with this pink metallic pair from Nasty Gal’s Shoe Cult.  Pink is the color of the season, and the metallic sheen on these pumps counters the sickly-sweet connotation of pink shoes.  I’d wear these with tough, edgy pieces- like a leather jacket or silver-studded pants.  Grab them here at NastyGal.com.

Are you adding sparkly shoes to your NYE look too?
