Olivier Rousteing’s designs for Balmain are usually intricate, playful, and sleek, so it is no surprise that we are seeing all of those characteristics for spring 2013! Rousteing said that he was going for a feeling of “latin sensuality,” in his looks, and I love the eccentric use of patterns and extraordinary embellishments. Balmain’s spring line features other trends from the runways that I’m excited about, such as leather, black and white, and two-piece midriff tops. The detail that goes into each piece truly makes each item an amazing work of art, and the accessories are just as fabulous! The belts are also great statement pieces that can be worn with just about any ensemble, and the leather cutout booties are very versatile for day or night. This entire couture collection is a must-have for your spring wardrobe!
