REPEAT OFFENDERS: THE SIGNATURE PIECE

Wearing the same thing again and again doesn’t have to be a fashion faux pas; there’s nothing wrong with having a signature piece! Whether it’s a go-to pair of jeans or a favorite bag, the trick is to mix up the way you style it. Even celebrities repeat basic items, and they can show you how it’s done!

Miranda Kerr’s favorite pair of Frame Denim jeans are super-flattering and go with just about anything. She wears them with both heels and flats, and keeps her outfits interesting by mixing up her jackets and handbags.

Olivia Palermo’s vintage brooches were a gift from her mother, and she makes this unexpected accessory work on sweaters, leather minidresses, and coats alike!

Rosie Huntington Whitely takes her gray Saint Laurent duffel purse everywhere, and it works just as well with boho-print pants as it does with polished skinny jeans and boots.

At stylehaüs, we are firm believers in the necessity and versatility of a leather bomber jacket. Miley Cyrus throws her Moschino version with dresses and jumpsuits for fun and edgy looks that transition from day to night.

Jessica Biel reminds us that leopard print is a neutral, and carries her Christian Louboutin messenger purse with a variety of different outfits. We love the fun pop of print it adds to her otherwise casual style.

Jennifer Lawrence’s go-to statement Burberry coat is one piece that we would love to have in our closets. With leather (we love leather) sleeves, and flattering shape, its no wonder Lawrence wears hers everywhere!

Elizabeth Olsen has enviable style, and she wears her black over-the-knee Stuart Weitzman boots from events, to the streets of New York! She keeps us intrigued by always changing what she wears on top. We love how she paired the dark boots with a bright yellow jacket and floral top, making black leather work for spring!

Blake Lively loves her oversized green Lorraine Schwartz studs, and so do we! She pairs them with just about everything, and makes them work for both the red-carpet and a casual day out.

So, don’t be afraid to wear the same thing twice, but take a hint from these celebrity style stars and always keep your look interesting by changing up the way you pair your pieces. The best signature piece is one that goes with anything, can transition seasons, and makes you feel your best! Tell us, what is your favorite item in your closet that you just can’t get enough of?
