Rachel Alexander is a Retro Lady for Glow May 2013

I’ve always found it so intriguing how seasons, colors, outfits, and moods all seem to affect one another so drastically. As springtime continues to grace us with the ‘out of the dark and into the light’ effect, I notice more and more fashion lovers come out of their winter shells and make striking, bold statements with their favorite rediscovered spring pieces.  I was so thrilled to get a glimpse of Rachel Alexander’s layout for the May issue of Glow Magazine for all the stylish notes they seemed to hit just perfectly.

If you stay current in the fashion world, then you probably have a keen eye at work with all the warm-weather trends beginning to take over. One of my favorite trends circulating for the season is the mix and match of bold prints, which Rachel Alexander displayed effortlessly in a printed orange halter and printed skirt to match. Her shoes, accessories, and sleek ponytail helped in amping up the finished look and left us inspired to mash up some vivid summer prints of our own.  If you’ve researched new ways to spruce up your office wear, then it’s likely you’ve already gotten acquainted with the shorts suit. Some women feel it’s a difficult style to pull off and if you’re one of them, try personalizing it! If you aren’t comfortable wearing bold colors or busy prints, try the always-stylish, jet-black. Go with a contrasting bag that makes the overall outfit pop, or a pair of trusty statement shoes. You’ll be happy you did some fashion experimenting once this stylish suit becomes a summer option for the office!
