The Philipp Plein Fall/Winter 2013 runway featured a couture collection that incorporated a lot of my favorite color: black. Featuring fur, studs, gold embellishments, and plenty of black accents, the Philipp Plein runway at Paris Fashion Week was truly stunning. Adding in fall-appropriate hints of leopard, army, and oxblood, the collection was themed in a dark forest and each model wore a jeweled headdress that gave it a dark, yet magical feeling. There were plenty of fun, statement belts embellished with gold, studs, and silver snakes, and the accessories took the looks to the next level. I was particularly obsessed with the white cable knit sweater with embellished cut outs, and the fringe skull sweater was an edgy yet unexpected surprise. Each look was more exciting than the last, and the style was sleek, modern, and fashion-forward. Plein’s collection screams fall couture, and I imagine his clothing will be filling the streets of New York, London, Paris and Milan come fall!
