The Lanvin fall 2013 collection included ruffles, flower appliqués, silk, chiffon and luscious fur, and completely evoked an old-Hollywood star meets 50s housewife. Lanvin never ceases to impress me and is one of my favorite designers of all time, especially since their clothing is not only the epitome of class, but Lanvin still manages to bring in a playful spirit. For their fall 2013 collection, models were decked out in statement jewelry, with “Help” and “Love” necklaces draped over silk dresses, oversized knit sweaters and chiffon blouses. Most of the pieces were black, grey and champagne, but there were pops of cherry red throughout the collection which gave the overall vibe an element of surprise and seduction. The silhouettes were classic and made you feel as if you traveled had back in time to another era. I also loved the styling of the runway, models had sleek chignon buns with a side part, black silk gloves and tights.
