Diane Von Furstenberg is a designer I constantly look to for inspiration, both in fashion and in business.  As a woman (and a businesswoman at that), Diane is always looks to discover and accentuate the things that make women women: our personalities, our bodies, and our style.  Nobody does flattering womenswear like Diane; it was so amazing to see her SS14 collection up-close!

When a show opens with Karen Elson and closes with Naomi Campbell, there’s no doubt that it’s going to be amazing from top to bottom.  Such was the case with the DVF runway show!

There were quite a few standout looks, including two amazing jumpsuits that I’m dying for.   I love how DVF takes a piece that can sometimes be less than womanly- the one piece jumpsuit- and creates curves and movement.  Her polka-dotted one piece nips in sweetly and the waist and flows over the hips and legs, which balances out the revealing halter top.  The jumpsuit I really want to shimmy into, though, is the Bermuda-length red onesie—how cute is it?!?!  Like I said in my Tibi review from Tuesday, Bermuda is the style of the season- and I think this DVF jumpsuit is going to be my first foray into long shorts.

One piece suits are great, but the two piece is still a force to be reckoned with!  This snakeskin-printed version is to die for- casual, glamorous, laid-back, and high-end all in one.  This outfit is the epitome of luxurious loungewear, and I’d wear it from the beach to the bars during an island-getaway.

To me, the piece de resistance was the African Safari themed tee shirt dress that walked towards the end of the show- DVF herself wore it for her bow as well!  Blue, orange, and blue hues combine to create a scene of wild tranquility with a screen-printed lion in silhouette against a bright sky.  This dress will be perfect for those sticky-hot summer nights when you don’t want to waste your energy getting dressed.  Just throw this oversized-tee-shirt dress on and go!

P.S. Here’s what I wore :)
