Burberry Prorsum Spring 2013

From the runways to the streets, metallic clothing is back in style and is definitely one of the hottest trends to try for spring.Skirts, dresses, trench coats- you name it- were all given a metal makeover, and with that much shimmer and shine, it’s impossible for this trend not to catch your eye. One of things I like most about this metallic revival is the fresh, colorful reinterpretation of metallic shades that we saw from many of the big designers. Instead of the gold, silver, and platinum hues that are usually associated with the word “metallic,” we were graced with every color of the rainbow, which made for a lot of fun, futuristic-looking designs. The pastel-colored metallics in particular have such an effervescent feel to them, and perfectly articulate the vibe of spring. If you’re looking to make a bold, unique statement this season, definitely break away from the conventional gold and silver, and go for pink or blue instead. Men can also get in on this trend too, as evidenced by the multiple heavy metal Lanvin and Burberry Prorsum looks to radiate down the runway.
