Runway Recap: Gucci Pre Fall 2014

I love the Pre Fall season!  Everything that designers show in their Pre Fall look books is just so wearable, as opposed to the avant garde fashion that normally stomps down the runways every Spring and Fall.  The Pre Fall 2014 look books were no exception, and I’m seriously loving Gucci’s presentation.  Every outfit is one I’m dying to wear right now!

Gucci expertly mixed and matched colors and neutrals throughout the collection in a really fresh way, and simple silhouettes were the ideal backdrop for their color choices.  The clothes are absolutely perfect for transitioning between summer and fall, too- heavy furs are balanced out with pastel tones, and suited-up separates are lightened up with driving loafers.

The Italian fashion house accessorized almost every look with a leather driving cap, and I reallllllllllly hope these become a thing.  I’d wear one all winter long, with everything, a la Gucci.

The best part about this collection is that it’s easy to get the look now!  I’m going to pair my black leather pants with a striped shirt and chunky fur right ASAP, and I’ll give my distressed jeans new life by mixing them with teal and buttercup tones.

Are you going to give the Gucci look a go?
