NYFW is coming up so soon! While prepping for the coming Fashion Week, I started looking back at what I wore last Fashion Week. I loved this eclectic mix of textures and prints and never got a chance to share it on the blog, so here it is!
I wore this look to the Yeohlee presentation (a cute garden-party theme) and then back at the main buildings later. I wanted my outfit to feel fresh, young, and current so I mixed and matched pieces from my favorite designers to achieve that “I just threw this on!” feel.
White leather shorts from Mason were my starting point; they’re simple enough to work with anything, but the leather texture was hardly boring. Next, I added a printed crop top from Porter Grey in soft green and blue tones to add some current trends to the mix: pastels and a lil midriff. I love mixing prints and textures, so I contrasted my silky top with a chunky, graphic knit from Kenzo which I could wear either around my waist or over my shoulders.
Accessories are everything! I grabbed an Olympia Le Tan book clutch (quickly becoming a classic wardrobe staple) and a printed snapback from Topshop to complete the look. I wore the hat backwards as a chic way to keep my hair out of my face in the NYC heat! Since this mix of prints and patterns was a lot of look, I opted for super-neutral Balenciaga riding boots instead of statement heels.
I want to capture this same vibe for next NYFW: polished and sophisticated, with a fresh urban edge.
