The Oscar de la Renta 2013 Fall Collection was truly couture at its finest: full of vivacious, breathtaking gowns that looked like they came out of a fashion fairy tale, fitted jackets and knee-grazing skirts, the collection was remarkable and such an amazing show to attend!
The dress collection featured gold bullion embroidery over bright pink and cobalt ball gowns, chartreuse and citrine hues, and beautiful black and gold collaborations. The entire show was presented in true Oscar de la Renta form, with a few touches reminiscent of Galliano’s inspiration for Dior. Galliano joined the Oscar de la Renta team just three weeks prior to the show, and although he didn’t take a bow afterwards, Galliano’s influence was evident on the runway and you could feel the anticipation in the room waiting to see if he was going to come out. The clothes were elegant with intricate details and embroidery, the fur coats luxurious, and the French toile printed dresses were a true testament to de la Renta’s conservative-chic style. The gowns couldn’t be more fitting for celebrating 50 years of incredible Oscar de la Renta couture, as they exemplify the brilliance and beauty the brand has produced for so long. This was one of our favorite shows, as everything was so beautiful and luxe! We couldn’t stop taking pictures.
