Marina Monroe & Olga Valentina do NYFW- DVF F/W’13

In her Fall/Winter 2013 Runway collection, Diane von Furstenberg returned to her roots with an eclectic collection of wrap dresses and prints set to a disco beat that had the crowd convinced of her motto “Life is a party!”

The collection, termed “Glam Rock” was filled with 80’s inspired bold, bright, patterns mixed with a retro vibe. Prints have been a trademark since DVF’s 1970’s launch, and the range here was impressive and yet another reminder that prints are here to stay— and I couldn’t be more excited! The collection was extremely versatile: from looks for work, to wearable outerwear and gorgeous gowns, there’s easily something for everyone in the line. The show gave off a Studio 54 feel with plenty of disco, and the excitement was contagious! While the fashion at this show was incredible, the energy in the room made it truly a fun and memorable event. With gold lamé jackets, hot pink pants, belted chiffon dresses, and fur detailing on jackets and vests, this collection will be a must-have for fall and winter!
