London Fashion Week has come and gone in what felt like the blink of an eye, but truly managed to leave an impression with beautiful runway shows from the most well-known designers, to new and upcoming ones. For LFW Fall/Winter 2013 I fell in love with the Topshop Unique collection most of all, which featured a couture take on one of Britain’s most fun and trendy-yet-youthful brands. Featuring fur, cropped tops, pleather, and pointed-toe booties, the runway show was cutting edge and playful, and I could see myself rocking almost all of these runway looks. I loved the variety of looks in the Matthew Williamson show, as he played with a range of styles and designs. From sequins, to retro prints, to florals, there was an eclectic variety and you never knew what was about to appear onstage next. Burberry Prorsum delivered a more youthful look to their fall line, with colored leather, hearts, and metallic accessories. Lastly, the David Koma show was one that truly caught my eye: I love leather and details, and this collection featured nothing but! Known for his power cuts and classic styles, Koma has mixed things up for London Fashion Week, embracing circular shapes in vinyl-like fabrics (his inspiration for the collection). With chic ridged leather skirts, funky leather wrap heels, and bright red leather, this collection was incredible, and I am waiting in anticipation for all of this leather to make its way into my fall closet!
