As Chloé is one of the most iconic names in fashion, the 60th Anniversary exhibit of this fashion powerhouse was no small event at the Barney’s New York store. In honor of the big anniversary, the French label selected 16 iconic runway looks and reproduced them, and also featured items from designers such as Stella McCartney and Karl Lagerfeld to feature on the Barneys racks. Chloë Sevigny, who starred in the brand’s 2008 beauty campaign, wore a vintage Chloé dress (from her teenage closet, no less) designed by Lagerfeld in the ’80s, commented: “It is such a beautiful brand, so girly, and not afraid of being feminine.” Chloé’s feminine style can transform anyone’s look, and Leigh Lezark is the perfect example. Lezark has made quite the fashion transformation over the past couple years, from typically wearing black to lightening up her style (and hair color) and she looks perfect in these striped trousers, white blouse, and orange clutch. Model Pat Cleveland wore a vintage dress she had once modeled on the runway, remarking, “Changing into those clothes, slipping on the dresses… it was orgasmic! It was like walking through the doorways of your best imagination. This brand reminds us we can be soft and crazy at the same time.” With celebrities, fashion icons, and designers galore, the event was the perfect way to celebrate this iconic brand in style.
