The red carpet at the Met Gala definitely had some ups and downs this year, but there were of course a fair share of elegant and unexpected selections that took my breath away.

Sarah Jessica Parker always manages to make a couture style statement at any event, and this year’s ball was no different as she rocked this mohawk-inspired Phillip Tracey headpiece. Jessica Alba continues to amaze me with her beauty, and her custom-made leather Tory Burch gown was a sexy and chic choice. Anja Rubik looked like a true supermodel at the Met: gorgeous, adventurous, and edgy; only she could pull off this red leather mini! Kristin Stewart, one of the most anticipated celebrities due to her punk-inspired history of dressing, shocked me as she rocked this burgundy lace and silk Balenciaga jumpsuit. She kept her accessories, hair, and shoes simple and chic, and let her dramatic red eye makeup do the talking.

Of these leading ladies, which look was your favorite of the night? I love Blake Lively’s look, and thought that Anja Rubik and rocked it out. Sienna Miller has a funky cool adaptation in this head-to-toe Burberry outfit, and Cara Delevingne in this custom studded Burberry v-neck dress; need I say more?! AMAZING.
